On September 25, 2023, LNCT School of Pharmacy, LNCT Vidyapeeth University celebrated World Pharmacist Day to honor and recognize the pivotal role of pharmacy professionals in advancing the pharmacy field and enhancing global health outcomes.

The program commenced with an inaugural speech by Dr. Amit Joshi, Principal of LNCT School of Pharmacy, who expressed his gratitude to the LNCT Group’s management. Dr. Joshi discussed the theme of “Pharmacists strengthening health systems – Aangdaan Mahadaan,” as proposed by the Pharmacy Council of India, highlighting the remarkable contributions of pharmacists and pharmacy professionals to our society’s well-being.

Ms. Sadhvi Gupta, Deputy General Manager at the renowned multinational pharmaceutical company, Mylan, graced the program as the Chief Guest. She emphasized the importance of not only celebrating World Pharmacist Day but also acknowledging the invaluable work of pharmacists. Ms. Sadhvi Gupta delivered an expert lecture titled “Talent is Innate, abilities are groomed – Get ready for Pharma” to the attending students.

The students of LNCT School of Pharmacy actively participated in various activities such as creating Pharma Rangoli, Poster Presentations, designing Logos, crafting Slogans, building Working Models, Nonworking Models, and Pharmaceutical Products. Additionally, they contributed to the program’s mission by planting saplings and conducting rallies and street plays to raise awareness about organ donation in society.

Prof. Jitendra Kayat expressed his gratitude in a vote of thanks, extending appreciation to the Chief Guest, Ms. Sadhvi Gupta, Deputy General Manager at Mylan, as well as to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, OSD (LNCT VU), Dean (LNCT Medical College), and Principals of various departments who participated in the program.
