National Pulse Polio Programme 2026 | SAFE Institution of Nursing College
On the occasion of the National Pulse Polio Programme, held from 28th to 30th June 2026 and organized by the Government of India, SAFE Institution of Nursing College, under LNCT Vidhyapeeth University, actively participated in a Social Extension Activity dedicated to building a Polio-Free India.
💧 Two Drops, A Lifetime of Protection! 💧
As part of this nationwide initiative, children below the age of five received the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to ensure their protection against polio and promote a healthier future.
The programme featured several important activities, including:
- Participation in the National Pulse Polio Immunization Programme.
- Administration of Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to eligible children under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
- Health education sessions for parents highlighting the importance of timely immunization.
- Awareness campaigns on polio prevention and the significance of completing the vaccination schedule.
- Interactive sessions with parents and caregivers to address common misconceptions about vaccination.
The 7th Semester Nursing students enthusiastically participated in the campaign, demonstrating their commitment to community health and child welfare. Their dedicated efforts reinforced the message that every child deserves a healthy, polio-free future—and just two drops can make a lifetime of difference.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Anamika Mishra and Mrs. Vandana Patode under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pinki Shrivastava, Principal, SAFE Institution of Nursing College, LNCT Vidhyapeeth University.
