First National Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) day was celebrated on 10 October 2023 at LNCT School of Pharmacy, LNCT Vidhyapeeth University. The program was started by the inaugural speech of Dr. Amit Joshi, Principal, LNCT School of Pharmacy by thanking entire management of LNCT Group, In his continuation to the speech he says that with the same on this day, we, as a part of the pharmaceutical education, pledge our commitment to proactive adherence to GMP for ensuring manufacture and delivery of medicines of high quality, efficacy and safety.

Welcoming the Chief Guest Mr. Mahendra Sharma, MC Well Enterprises (Ex Emp. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare CDSCO, DGHS, Govt. of India) grace the program by his presence. He said that that Quality was traditionally determined by testing that assured compliance only with agreed specifications and could not assure safety and efficacy. Due to these inherent limitations, something that was inadvertently present in the product could not be tested. It was thus realized that Quality should be built into the product, and testing alone cannot be relied upon to ensure product quality and safety. The GMP regulations were introduced to ensure quality during manufacturing, however, mostly reactively and to deal with tragedies. Vote of thanks was expressed by Prof. Ruchi Jain while sending her gratitude to the Chief Guest Mr. Mahendra Sharma, Mr. Rohit Pathak sir (OSD, LNCT VU) for gracing the program by their presence.
