Today, LNCTMC & Sewakunj Hospital, Indore (M.P.), Department of Community Medicine, observed World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD). Established by the United Nations in 2011, WEAAD aims to highlight issues of abuse, neglect, and exploitation faced by older adults, while promoting their dignity and respect.
Interns delivered informative health talks and conducted health check-ups at UHTC & RHTC (Baroda Kara) to mark this important day, celebrated annually on June 15th.
Faculty, staff, and local residents joined hands to make this initiative a success. Special thanks to Dr. Manish Mehar and MSW Miss Upama, under the guidance of Dr. Sonia Tiwari (HOD, PSM), for their leadership.
