Every year on July 29th, the world comes together to celebrate World ORS Day highlighting the importance of a humble drink: Oral Rehydration Solution. It was discovered by an Indian, Dr. Dilip Mahalanabis who was voluntarily serving in the refugee camp of Bongaon, West Bengal during the war of 1971.
Today on this occasion a Nukkad Natak Presentation was done by interns posted in Department of Community Medicine in the Hospital premises near OPD to create general awareness amongst people and also at Anganwadi centre Begumkhedi where staff and children were sensitized regarding the importance of ORS.
The event was graced by the prescence of respected Dean Dr.Sadhana Sanwatsarkar mam.
All faculties & students actively participated in the event.The whole event was co ordinated by Professor & HOD of Community Medicine ( Dr.Sonia Tiwari).
